City of Vaughan

MTI is our public sector partner in the implementation of the City of Vaughan's vision for the Integrated Community Concept (Smart Vaughan). At the center of this vision, Vaughan recognized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology as the hub for Smart Vaughan.

MTI was tasked with undertaking an exhaustive strategic study for GIS implementation.

The first business application that was delivered through a design\build approach was a comprehensive GIS-enabled Development Tracking System which has productized into AppTrack.

MTI has established a comprehensive enterprise-wide data model that serves as the backbone of the AppTrack.

The development application tracking entities in the model encompasses corporate property management and the entire development approval process from application submissions through internal and external circulation processes, application notifications and post approvals application life cycles

City of Brampton

The MTI (Munirom) AppTrack system has been fully implemented in the City of Brampton for the past two years. Brampton now has over 120 users' daily working with the system and utilizing its features and functionality to fully automate their processes.

Through the implementation process, "PlanTrak" (Brampton's internally branded version of AppTrack) has matured with new functionality and enhancements.

MTI is continuously working with the City to refine the software. Brampton has also taken advantage of the powerful reporting capabilities of AppTrack, by creating numerous custom templates and reports that cover everything from council reports, standard letters and notices, to financial reports used for budgeting.

Through this initiative, the city has freed up valuable resources and in turn has seen substantial cost savings and benefits.

Region of Peel

The Region of Peel is one of the big 3 GTA Regions. The region includes the City of Mississauga, the City of Brampton, and the Town of Caledon. Peel Region has selected Munirom's AppTrack solution in order to get a much tighter integration of the Regional growth management processes with the Planning processes of its constituent municipalities. Phase 1 of the project will see Peel region using AppTrack to tie into Brampton's corporate GIS and planning database. This in turn will allow Peel Region users to;

Easily manage electronic circulations and commenting between the two organizations

Access all documents pertaining to particular applications

Throughout this implementation, the AppTrack software will be enhanced with new functionality which will allow multiple organizations to seamlessly link together across multiple network protocols.

The ultimate objective will be to allow information sharing through paperless electronic interchange, and to better coordinate the growth management processes of multiple organizations.

This will reduce the time for approvals, allow for better capital budgeting, and introduce increased transparencies into the development process.

Town of East Gwillimbury

The Town of East Gwillimbury chose AppTrack as its enterprise solution to manage growth.

The Region of York ranks the Town of East Gwillimbury to be the municipality with the most growth of all other municipalities in York Region.

A key objective in the Town's strategic plan is to effectively manage growth. In this effort the Town has selected to implement Munirom's AppTrack Enterprise Solution to provide the Town's staff with the necessary tool to help them effectively manage the land development process.

AppTrack will initially be implemented within the Town's planning department to replace the current manual paper based processing and administration of land development applications. The Town chose AppTrack for its breadth of functionality and its tight integration with GIS mapping and reporting capabilities.
